Arabica

Arabica coffee beans are smoother, sweeter, and have a more nuanced flavor than other coffee types, with notes of nuts, chocolate, fruit, and caramel.

Arabica Coffee Beans are also known to be with lower caffeine, which is less bitter and more acidic.

Robusta (Canephora)

Despite its flavour being considered less refined, Robusta is widely used in espresso blends because it is known to produce a better crema (the creamy layer found on top of an espresso shot) than Arabica.

It is hardier, more resistant to disease and produces better yields.
